Plug the motor cable connector into the SIDOOR MDG180 L / R or MDG400 L / R or
MDG400NMS L / R geared motor.

Remove the protective cover from the connection plug of the motor.

Plug the round connector of the cable (6FB1104-0AT..-0CB.) into the motor plug
socket (6FB1103-0AT1.-.M.0). Ensure that the round connector is in the correct
position. Turn the round connector so that the outer code rings match the code rings
on the plug socket.

Fasten the round connector in place with screws. Ensure that the round connector is
screwed tightly in place to comply with degree of protection IP56.
Connecting modules (optional, only for controllers with the corresponding module)
1.
Connect the relay module.
Proceed as described in the Section Relay module (Page 135).
2.
Connect the CAN module.
Proceed as described in the Section CAN module (Page 140).
3.
Connect the USS / PROFIBUS module.
Proceed as described in the Section USS/PROFIBUS/PROFINET module (Page 143).
Connecting the power supply to the network
1.
Connect the power supply to the network.

SIDOOR NT40: When the supply is switched on, the device is ready for operation.
The green LED lights up.
Note
On-site fuse
The on-site fuse must not exceed 10 A.
Note
For the motors M4, MDG400. MDG400NMS and M5, the output transmission (Page 86)
must be checked prior to each learn run and adjusted if necessary.*
