File commands

These commands are meant for remote technical maintenance and diagnostics of

the NK8237 units. The commands apply to the file selection active in the list on the

left of the screen.
Download file
Transfer the selected file to the NK8237.

CAUTION

Do not use the NW8204 to download firmware or configuration files to the

NK8000 units. If the files to download are corrupted, the error is not notified and

the NK8000 unit will stop working.

Upload file
Transfer the selected file from the NK8237 (to upload diagnostic files, see

Uploading diagnostic files [➙

Delete/rename file
Delete or Rename the selected file in the NK8237.
Refresh
Update the file list.
Properties
Display the detailed properties of the selected file.
Download Reset NK
Download a file that forces the NK8237 to perform a software reset.
Edit Configuration File
Edit/View the INI file containing the NK8237 configuration.
Edit Diagno.log
Edit/View the diagnostic file (see

Uploading diagnostic files [➙

Edit EEprom.log Event.log
Edit/View the diagnostic file (see

FTP mode
Set the FTP connection mode to Active (default) or Passive (needed if a firewall is

active on the PC).

Diagnostic functions

Reset NK
Reset an NK8237 from remote location.

Note: This function is only ava

ilable when logged in as user “admin”.

Save EEProm on file
Store the content of the EEPROM in the file EEProm.LOG on the NK8237 flash

disk.
Set System Time
Set the RTC (Real Time Clock) of NK8237 to PC system time.

Note: This function is only avail

able when logged in as user “admin”.
