Customising the IEC Interface
In the IEC Master node, a number of configuration settings can be customised
relevant to the general NK8237 gateway parameters, as well as to the address of
IEC devices and data tables.
Note: The NK8237 handles a number of data tables to implement the IEC
communication at application level. For more details about these tables, see the
NK8237 IEC 60870-5-104 Interface Specifications
guide (document no.
A6V10741020).
9.7.1
General gateway parameters
The general parameters include:
⚫
Command level
This parameter defines the command access level allowed for the IEC master
station. The option list includes:
–
No command: the IEC master station cannot send any command to the fire
system.
–
Ack only: the IEC master station can only send the Acknowledgement
command to the fire system.
–
Ack, Reset: the IEC master station can only send the Acknowledgement
and Reset commands to the fire system.
–
Ack, Reset, Basic command: the IEC master station can send the entire
set of defined commands to the fire system.
NOTICE! The Basic commands (day/night, include/exclude) are not fully
compliant with the IEC standard, and the use of these commands must be
first agreed with the customer.
⚫
Time synchronization
This parameter is important for setting the appropriate time stamp on the
exchanged data messages. The NK8237 can handle the time synchronization
in one of the following ways.
