Backup

Under "Backup" you can back up the operating system, applications and data from the flash

memory of the HMI device to an external storage medium.

Use a SIMATIC SD memory card

≥

32 GB or an industrial grade USB stick as storage

medium.
Depending on the amount of data on the HMI device, a backup may require up to 20 GB of

memory. Make sure that the storage medium has sufficient free space. Recommendation: At

least 5 GB of free space on the storage medium.
Remote access to the HMI device is not possible during the backup process.
Do not turn off the HMI device during the backup process.

Choose backup type

Select one of the following options:

●

"Complete backup": Backup all data of the HMI device including operating system, project

and user administration.

●

"Runtime project": Backing up the project of the HMI device.

●

"Only user management data": Backing up the user administration of the HMI device.
