•
Clean the permanent magnet of the oildrain plug thoroughly.
•
Drain the oil from the oilsupply system (see operating instructions to the oilsupply system).
CAUTION
Risk of scalding
Risk of injury through escaping hot oil.
Wear suitable protective gloves, protective glasses and protective clothing.
Remove any oil spillage immediately with an oilbinding agent.
Note
Check the condition of the sealing ring; the sealing ring is vulcanised onto the oildrain plug. If necessary,
use a new oildrain plug.
•
Screw in the oildrain plug and/or shut the oildrain cock.
•
Clean the oil filter in the oilcooling system (see operating instructions to the oilsupply system).
•
Clean the air filter (see item 10.2.4) or change the wetair filter (see item 10.2.3).
•
Fill fresh oil into the gear unit (see item 7.1.3).
•
Place the inspection and/or assembly cover with the seal on the housing.
•
Screw in the fastening screws of the cover and tighten them to the specified tightening torque
(see item 6.19).
•
Screw in the air filter with the reducing screw or the wetair filter again.
NOTICE
Material damage
Risk of damage to the wetair filter.
Prior to using the wetair filter, 2 of the 8 sealed bores at the underside of the wetair filter must be opened.
10.2.3
Replace the wetair filter
The wetair filter has a container filled with "silica gel". The air humidity absorbed by the "silica gel" changes
the colour of the gel from "blue" to "pink" (visible through the transparent container). Replacement of the
complete wetair filter is only necessary when the "silica gel" has gone completely pink.
•
Unscrew the wetair filter and replace it with a new one.
NOTICE
Material damage
Risk of damage to the wetair filter.
Prior to using the wetair filter, 2 of the 8 sealed bores at the underside of the wetair filter must be opened.
