8.7. Customize your function keys
The
DIRECT DIAL KEYS
menu allows all users
to see the functions
that the system administrator
has associated to the function keys and the way to associate phone numbers of local contacts to the
function keys not programmed by the administrator, in order to make a call directly to the customed
number when the key is pressed.
Configure
DIRECT KEY
in the following way:
1. press softkey MENU
2. scroll the menu up to
DIRECT DIAL KEYS
and confirm press softkey SET:

the screen displays a numbered list showing the keys, close with a brief description of the
function associated. Scroll the list up to the number with no description (for example [6]):
3. to confirm press softkey SET
4. the screen displays “PROG. TELEPHONE BOOK”, press softkey SET and access the private
directory
5. scroll the contacts and choose one, to confirm press softkey SET
•
the screen displays, close to the number key previously selected, the contact name
associated
6. to exit the menu press softkey BACK
7. <
Save the changes?
> to save press softkey SET, to cancel press softkey BACK
The same procedure also allows to change or delete the association made (select the key next to the
contact name to make the changes).
