7 PREPARING THE DEVICE
7.1 Unpack
1. Carefully unpack the device. Follow the instructions for disposal of packaging
materials in chapter 12 – DISPOSAL.
2. The device may be protected for transport with transport locks. Remove these com-
pletely. Do not use aggressive cleaners to remove remains of the transport locks.
3. Before connecting the device, check that the power cord or the device itself have no
damages.
4. Check if content comprises all equipment parts, see chapter 4 – CONTENT.
5. Make sure that the device is disconnected from the power supply.
7.2 Selection of suitable location
Set up the device in a suitable place:
• near a safety socket with 10 A minimum protection
• horizontal and vibration-free
• heat resistant
• does not react with rubber feet
• with a minimum distance of 30 cm upwards and 20 cm to each side
• the device should be placed against a wall
• stand space of the device should have a minimum height of 85 cm
7.3 Before first use heat up the empty device
Before using the microwave for the very first time the empty device must be heated up
so that residuals resulted from production can evaporate. For this turn on the convection
programme without any food and without any equipment in the cooking chamber.
