•  Aluminium bowls 

Aluminium bowls (e.g. ready-made meals) are partially suitable. To use them in the  

microwave the aluminium bowls must have a minimum height of 3 cm. 

3.3 Unsuitable materials 
Unsuitable materials are containers made of metal like metal pots, metal pans and  

metal lids. 

3.4 Size and shape of suitable materials
Food can be cooked better and more even if they are prepared in flat and wide con-

tainers. Narrow and high containers are not that suitable.
Also round or oval containers are more suitable than square containers as local heating 

can occur in the edges.
