Basis for the mechanical and electrical construction and design
of the conveyor extension are:
EC machinery directive 98/37/EC with its addendums
and related norms.
For the electrical part of the system is additionally valid:
EC low voltage directive (73/23/EEC; EC OJ no. L
077 and 82/C59/02/EEC).
Directive of electromagnetic compatibility
(89/336/EEC; EC OJ no. L 139).
The following harmonized norms of the classes A and B were
observed for the design of the soldering system:
Class A:
EN 12100-1 Safety of machinery, nomenclature and
methodology.
EN 12100-2 Safety of machinery, technical guidelines and
speci
fi cations.
Class B:
EN 294 Safety of machinery, safety distances against
the reach of danger spots with the upper
extremity.
EN 349 Safety of machinery, minimum distances to
avoid crushes of body parts.
EN 13850 Safety of machinery, Emergency-stop -
Principles for design
EN 563 Safety of machinery, temperatures of tangible
surfaces – ergonomic data for the provision of
temperature limits of hot surfaces.
EN 60204-1 Safety of machinery, (DIN VDE 0113-1).
Electrical design of machines.
Part 1: General standards.
Observe and follow the mentioned norms for installation,
startup, programming and operation as well as maintenance and
service.
