ASCII Command Reference

Command Definitions

CLO (Close)

Access Level 2

The

CLO

command asserts the CC Relay Word bit that can be programmed to

an output contact to close circuit breakers. See

Section 4:

Control Logic

To issue the

CLO

command, enter the following:

Close Breaker (Y/N) ?

Y <Enter>

Are you sure (Y/N) ?

Y <Enter>

=>>

Responding y/y to both prompts asserts Relay Word Bit CC for one
processing interval. Typing

N <Enter>

after either of the above prompts will

abort the command.

The

CLO

command is supervised by main board jumper JMP24. If the jumper

is not in place (jumper JMP24 = OFF), the relay will not recognize the

CLO

command and responds “Aborted: No Breaker Jumper.”

CON (Control)

Access Level 2

The

CON

command is a two-step command you can use to control Relay

Word bits RB1 through RB8, see

Section 4: Control Logic

Level 2 prompt, type

CON

, a space, and the number of the bit you wish to

control (1–8).] The relay responds by repeating your command followed by a
colon. At the colon, type the Control subcommand you wish to perform (See

Table 7.2

The following shows the steps necessary to pulse Remote Bit 5 (RB5):

You must enter the same remote bit number in both steps in the command. If
the bit numbers do not match, the relay responds “Invalid Command.”
