Model 466-1 Adapter

64 CSR Accessed From The VMEbus

7.1.3 Interrupt Vector Register

This read/write register (address = I/O LO + 7

hex

), located on the VMEbus

adapter card, holds the interrupt vector transmitted to a VMEbus processor
when that processor acknowledges an interrupt from the VMEbus adapter
card. The interrupt vector is the response to an interrupt caused by the
VMEbus adapter card

or

to an interrupt passed from the SBus adapter card

through

the VMEbus adapter card (such as PT or PR Interrupts).

If the VMEbus adapter card sends an interrupt, it passes the contents of the
Interrupt Vector Register to the local VMEbus processor during the interrupt
acknowledge cycle.

The Interrupt Vector Register is preset to

FF

at power-on time and is read

from and written to by a VMEbus processor --

not

by a SBus processor.

Remote interrupt acknowledgment and remote vector passing are performed
with the IACK Read command.
