1.7.3.2 Programmed Interrupt to Receiver (PR)
The
PR Interrupt
does not require the VMEbus adapter card to use the
interface cable to reset the interrupt, and does not use a cable interrupt line to
set the interrupt. It is the only interrupt that can be sent from the SBus system
to the VMEbus system. During the interrupt acknowledge cycle, the VMEbus
adapter card sends the interrupt vector contained in the Interrupt Vector
Register to the VMEbus.

PR Interrupts
work as follows:
1.
A SBus processor writes "1" to bit 5 of Remote Command Register 1 to
set the
PR Interrupt
flip-flop on the VMEbus card.
2.
If jumpered, the
PR Interrupt
on the VMEbus adapter card activates an
interrupt line on the VMEbus backplane. This interrupt can be jumpered
to VMEbus Request IRQ1 or IRQ2.
3. When the VMEbus processor detects the bus interrupt, it can clear it by
writing bit 7 of the SBus adapter card's Local Command Register.
