Advice for an accurate analysis
In order to carry out a very accurate Flue gas analysis, the following precautions should be taken:
•
The boiler being checked must operate normally.
•
The flue gas analyzer must be operated for at least 3 minutes (autozero time) using the fresh air probe.
•
The location where the probe is to be inserted for analysis must be located at a distance from the boiler that is approximately twice
the diameter of the chimney, or in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
•
The water trap must be completely empty and in a vertical position.
•
Before switching off the instrument, remove the probe and wait at least three minutes (the CO value must fall below 10 ppm).
•
Before storing the instrument, clean the water trap and connecting pipe; in the event of there being condensation in it, blow inside to
clean it.
