Message Folders

Press the Open (left) soft key ( ). The contents of the highlighted
message appears in the display.

Press the Options (right) soft key ( ). The following options appear in
the display:
• Erase — Erases this message, if Unlocked.
• Forward — Sends a copy of this message to other recipients.
• Lock / Unlock — Block/permit erasure of this message.
• Save Quick Text — Save the message text to your Quick Text list for later
reuse in other messages.
• Add To Contacts — Save the recipient’s number/Email address to your
Contacts.
• Message Info — Shows the recipient(s) of this message, the date and time the
message was sent, the message priority, type, size, status, and any error codes.
5. Use the Navigation key to highlight an option. Press the OK (left) soft key
( ) to perform the function for the highlighted option.
Drafts
Messages in the Drafts folder have been saved here but
not yet sent. When you exit a new message without
sending it, you are prompted to save the message in your
Drafts folder. You can return to the Drafts folder at any time
to view, edit, or send a draft message.

In standby mode, press the Message (right) soft
key ( ), then press (for Drafts ). A list of your draft messages
appears in the display.

Use the Navigation key to highlight the draft message that you wish to
review, then press the Edit (left) soft key ( ). The Create Text Msg
screen appears in the display with the message stext entry field
highlighted.

Add/change text using the keypad. (For more information, see “Entering
Text” on page 41.)

Press the left soft key ( ) Options , to display the options listed.
• Edit Send To — Returns you to the Send To list to check or change recipients.
• Add — Add a graphic image, animation, sound file, or precomposed text (Quick
Text) to your message.
• Entry Mode — The text entry mode for your message. The modes are T9
Word , Abc , ABC , 123 , Symbols , and Add T9 Word . Use the Navigation key to
highlight the desired text entry mode.
