Editing an Existing Contact Entry
• Call
— Lets you place a call to the selected Contact, dialing the Default number.

on page 24.)

Use the Navigation key to highlight the
Edit
option.
5.
Press the
key. The
Edit Contact
screen appears in the display with
the contact name highlighted.
6.
Use the Navigation key to highlight the
Email 1
or
Email 2
field (labeled
with the @ symbol).

Use the keypad to edit the Email address. (See
“Entering Text”
on page 41
for more information.)
To change the text entry mode:
•
Press the
Set
(right) soft key (
). The soft key label changes to indicate the
current text entry mode.
•
Press the Right soft key again. The following options pop-up in the display:

T9 Word
–
Abc
–
ABC
–
123
–
Symbols
–
Shortcuts
–
Add T9 Word
The current text entry mode is highlighted.
•
Use the Navigation key to highlight the preferred text entry mode, then press the
OK
(left) soft key (
). You are returned to the
Edit Contact
screen, and the
Right soft key label changes to the selected text entry mode.
To insert the @ symbol:
•
Press the Right soft key (
). A pop-up menu appears in the display with the
current text entry mode highlighted.
•
Use the Navigation key to highlight the
Shortcuts
option, then press the
OK
(left)
soft key (
). The following options appear in the display:

@
–
.com
–
.net
–
.edu
The
@
option is highlighted.
•
Press the
OK
(left) soft key (
). The @ symbol appears in the Email address.
To add an address extension:
