Papaya, Lime and Ginger Smoothie

Papaya is an excellent source of carotenoid compounds which can be converted into vitamin A by
the body. Vitamin A is important for boosting immunity and night vision. Limes are rich in
vitamin C, which is essential for healing and skin repair. Ginger helps stimulate the circulation.

Ingredients
2 ripe papayas
freshly squeezed juice of 2 small limes
small piece of fresh root ginger (about the size of a grape), peeled and roughly chopped
200ml cold water
4 ice cubes
Method
Cut the papayas in half and remove the seeds
Scoop the flesh into the Smoothie Maker using a dessert spoon
Add the lime juice, ginger, water and ice cubes
Blend on low for a few seconds, then switch to high and blend until smooth
Serve in chunky glasses with a teaspoon
