Minted Mango and Yoghurt Smoothie

Health Facts
Mangoes are an excellent source of betacarotene and are believed to have cancer fighting
properties. They also provide good amounts of vitamin C and useful amounts of fibre. Yoghurt
contains calcium that helps protect against osteoporosis and research suggests it may also help in
controlling blood pressure. Live yoghurt helps the intestinal tract by regenerating good bacteria.

Ingredients
1 ripe mango
150g fat-free bio yoghurt
350ml skimmed milk, chilled
6 ice cubes
small bunch fresh mint leaves, plus extra sprigs to garnish
Method
Stand the mango on a chopping board and carefully cut either side of the large flat
stone using a sharp knife
Scoop out the flesh with a dessert spoon and place this in the Smoothie Maker
Add the yoghurt, milk, ice cubes and mint leaves
Blend on low for a few seconds
Switch to high and blend until smooth
Serve in tall glasses, decorated with sprigs of mint
