Preventative Maintenance
– Rinsing
Electrodes
It is possible that salts will accumulate on the electrodes that are housed in the PippinHT
lid assembly. This may alter the performance of the instrument over time. Two empty
cassette bodies are provided with the PippinHT. These should be filled with deionized
water and used with the procedure below.
Important!
Electrodes should be rinsed
after 5 runs or once per week
, whichever is
more frequent.
17.1 Electrode Rinse Procedure
1. Fill the rinse cassette(s) with deionized water.
2. Place the cassette(s) on to the nest(s).
3. In the PippinHT software, go to the Main Screen.
4. Select
“Rinse protocol” from the Protocol Name Menu.
5. Press “START”. The rinse procedure will take about 5 minutes.
