9.2.1 Checking the connections and pipes
• Check all components and connections through which water flows for leakage and ensure that they are sound. If damaged,
determine the cause and change the damaged parts.
• Check all electrical components, connections, and pipes. Repair damaged parts.
9.2.2 Checking and cleaning the safety overflow and drain hose
The safety overflow connection and drain pipe must be free of impurities.
WARNING!
Danger of death due to electric shock
All work performed on live components must be carried out in accordance with the proper procedures,
otherwise there may be a danger to the life and health of individuals and the function of the E-SolarUnit may
be impaired.
• Only properly authorised heating engineers may rectify faults on the live components of the electric heat
generator.
• If the Solaris system is connected and operational,
switch it off and drain the solar panels.
• Open the overflow drain (connection and drain pipe).
• Check that the overflow drain is not blocked and clean it,
if necessary.
• Unscrew the overflow hose.
• Visually inspect the tank fill level (water level at drain
edge).
• If necessary, correct the fill level; determine the reason
for the low water level and remedy it.
• Check the overflow hose connection and drain section
for leakage, unobstructed flow and gradient.
