6.6.10 Legionella protection
Thermal disinfection
is carried out to
prevent the hot water storage tank becoming contaminated with bacteria
.
The storage tank is heated up to a temperature of 65 °C just once. This temperature is then maintained for at least 10 min.
• Set the disinfection phase by changing parameter [2].
– 2 = The hot water system is disinfected once a week, at the changeover from Friday to Saturday
(day 5 to day 6) at 00:00.
– 3 = Disinfection starts at every changeover from one day to the next.
CAUTION:
If hot water is used during the disinfection phase, there is a risk of fluctuations in the hot water storage tank
temperature and, thus, of scalding.
• If hot water is required during the disinfection phase, it must be mixed with cold water.
The maximum hot water temperature set by the user or the heating technician is ignored when hot water is
heated for disinfection purposes.
It must be ensured that charging can take place at the times specified below.
