NOTE!
Grounding the transmitter using the threaded conduit connection may not
provide a sufficient ground. Make sure the connection provides a sufficiently
low impedance.

OUNDATION
Fieldbus
Signal wiring of the fieldbus segment (Tankbus) must not be grounded.
Grounding one of the signal wires may shut down the entire fieldbus segment.
Shield Wire Connection
To protect the fieldbus segment from noise, grounding techniques for shield
wire usually require a single grounding point to avoid creating a grounding
loop. In the Raptor system, the ground point is located at the Rosemount
2410 Tank Hub which acts as the power supply for the devices on the
Tankbus.
The shield wire terminal in the Rosemount 2240S is not connected to ground.
It only provides electrical continuity to daisy-chained Tankbus cables.
