Advanced Settings

Click

Advanced Options

in the Advanced menu to configure your device or to enable the system log.

The Advanced Settings page is divided into sections.

Access Point

Enabling SSID broadcasting allows other nearby computers to see your device’s network name
(SSID). This is what you see when you select “View Available Wireless Networks” (Windows) or click
the AirPort icon (Mac).

Disabling SSID broadcasting provides additional security but you have to re-enable it if you lose
your automatic connection.

➤

Select the SSID broadcast enable check box to enable SSID broadcasting, or clear the check

box to disable SSID broadcasting, and then click

Apply.
