When water may freeze

General anti-freeze measures

Intermittent fl ushing

If it becomes very cold during the winter, the water in the toilet could freeze and cause damage. To prevent damage 

due to freezing, perform the following procedures. (The power needs to be turned on, and do not disconnect the power 

plug from the outlet. Turn off the power save function.)

  Set both the WATER TEMP. and SEAT 

TEMP. to “Hi,” and close the seat lid. 

  Press the MASSAGE button and 

FRONT button (NOZZLE POSITION) 
simultaneously for 2 seconds or longer.

*  A short beep is emitted when the setting is 

completed and “ANTI FREEZE” is displayed on 
the LCD.

*  The toilet is flushed every 10 minutes. 

*  Approximately 6 liters of water (approximately 40 

liters per hour) flows per flushing to prevent water 

from freezing.

 

Heat the toilet room.

 

Turn off the power save function.

  Press the MASSAGE button and 

FRONT button (NOZZLE POSITION) 
simultaneously for 2 seconds or longer 
again to cancel the anti-freeze function.

If the shower stops working due to water freezing 

If the water supply hose or the water supply connection 

freezes and water do not spray out, gradually warm up the 

water supply hose and/or water supply connection with a cloth 

soaked in warm water, etc., or heat the toilet room to allow it to 

melt naturally.

The intermittent-flushing toilet flushes water every 10 

minutes to prevent water from freezing.

*  A beep is heard when the setting is canceled. 

*  If the toilet room cannot be heated, drain the 

water supply hose for the toilet as described in the 
procedures on page 67.
