13.1 Annual Service Procedure

13.1.1 Burner Removal
Isolate the heater from the gas and electrical s

p-
plies. Remo

rner. Remo

e the

u
rner head to the comb
u
s-
tion chamber. The b
u
rner can no
w
be remo
v
ed.
13.1.2 Burner Maintenance
Remo

e the b

rner to the floor le

el and clean inter-
nally

sing a soft br
u
sh and compressed air if a
v
ail-
able. Take care not to damage the internal parts of
the b
u
rner. When remo
v
ing the b
u
rner, take care not
to dist
u
rb the gasket on the comb
u
stion chamber.
The electrode is an integral part of the b
u
rner head.
Check that the spark gap is approximately 3 mm.
13.1.3 Tube and Reflector Maintenance
With the b

rner remo

ed, clean the o

ter s
u
rfaces
of the t
u
bes
u
sing a br
u
sh and

ipe the inner s
u
r-
face of the reflector
w
ith a soft damp cloth -

se a
ho

sehold detergent if necessary.

Allow heater to cool
before service.
Tubing may still be hot
after operation.
Explosion Hazard
Turn off gas supply to
heater before service.
DANGER
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect electric
before service.
More than one
disconnect switch may
be required to
disconnect electric from
heater.
Heater must be
connected to a properly
grounded electrical
source.
