lator. This w ill start the exha u st fan.
5. Ens u re that all time clocks and thermostats are
set to call for heat.
6. Balancin g Cold Suction
Starting at the branch f u rthest from the p u mp,
check the end v ent v ac uu m. Do this by con-
necting a manometer by inserting the test
probe a minim
u m of 150 mm into the hole. See
Page 49, Figure 31 . Adj u st the damper at the
end of the radiant r u n so that the s u ction is
approximately 9 mbar. Repeat for each branch.
7. S w itch off the electrical s u pply at the main iso-
lator. The exha u st fan w ill stop.
8. T u rn on the electrical s u pply to the heater.
9. S w itch on the electrical s u pply at the main iso-
lator.
10. Balancin g Hot Suction

Section 12.1 sho u ld take place. Allo w the sys-
tem to reach f u ll temperat u re (approximately 30
min u tes). Set the dampers at each branch to
achie v e the settings for the installed b u rner
model as listed in 12.3.1 .

12.4 System Checks
T u rn the system off and restart it to ens u re smooth
ignition. Carry o u t the follo w ing system checks.
1. When r u nning, t u rn off the gas s u pply at the
appliance isolating cock. The heater w ill imme-
diately sh u t do w n follo w ed by 3 attempts at res-
toration follo w ed by locko u t.
2. When r u nning, disconnect the fan electrical
s u pply. The b u rner sho u ld sh u t do w n w ithin a
fe w seconds pro v ing operation of the press u re
s w itch.
3. When r u nning, t u rn do w n the thermostat to a
point belo w room temperat u re. Check that the
fan contin u es to r u n on for t w o min u tes after
sh u t do w n of the b u rners.
12.5 User Instructions
After satisfactory testing, ens u re that the client is
f u lly a w are of the operation of the system. Bring this
man u al to the attention of the u ser or p u rchaser;
instr u ct them in the safe operation of the heater(s).
12.6 ECA Approved Systems
On ECA appro v ed systems, it m u st be v erified that
the req u irement of 91% net comb u stion efficiency is
met. Meas u rements of temperat u re and CO
2
con-
centration in the exha u st gasses ha v e to be done.
