Withdra w the connection block. Remo v e the gro u nd
w ire from the gas v al v e and from the air sh u tter
scre w . The gas train can no w be w ithdra w n from the
compartment. The gas train can no w be dismantled.
Replace part and reassemble in re v erse order.
N OTE: When reassembling, a s u itable sealant m u st
be u sed to ens u re that no gas leaks occ u r. F u rther
to this, the assembly m u st be sq u are so that all the
components are u pright.
13.2.5 Automatic Flame Control Unit
Remo v e ignition lead, sense w ire and other connec-
tors. Unscre w t w o scre w s from the co v er. Replace if
fa u lty. Refit in re v erse seq u ence.
13.2.6 Neons
Remo v e the t w o p u sh connectors from the neon.
Remo v e the neons by depressing the retaining tabs
in w ard. Replace in re v erse seq u ence.
13.3 Maintenance Checklist
Installation Code and Annual Inspections:
All installation and ser v ice of ROBERTS GORDO N ®
eq u ipment m u st be performed by a contractor q u ali-
fied in the installation and ser v ice of eq u ipment sold
and s u pplied by Roberts-Gordon E u rope Limited
and conform to all req u irements set forth in the
ROBERTS GORDO N ® man u als and all applicable
go v ernmental a u thorities pertaining to the installa-
tion, ser v ice and operation of the eq u ipment.
To help facilitate optim u m performance and safety,
Roberts-Gordon E u rope Limited recommends that a
q u alified contractor cond u ct, at a minim u m, ann u al
inspections of yo u r ROBERTS GORDO N ® eq u ip-
ment and perform ser v ice w here necessary, u sing
only replacement parts sold and s u pplied by Rob-
erts-Gordon E u rope Limited.
The Vicinity of the Heater Do not store or u se flammable objects, liq u ids or v apo u rs near the heating
system. Immediately remo v e these items if they are present.

Vehicles and Other
Objects Maintain the clearances to comb u stibles.
Do not hang anything from, or place anything on, the heater.
Make s u re nothing is lodged u nderneath the reflector, in bet w een the t u bes
or in the decorati v e or protecti v e grilles (incl u ded w ith select models).
Immediately remo v e objects in v iolation of the clearances to comb u stibles.

Make s u re there is no dirt, sagging, cracking or distortion.
Do not operate if there is sagging, cracking or distortion.

Vent Pipe Venting m u st be intact. Using a flashlight, look for obstr u ctions, cracks on
the pipe, gaps in the sealed areas or corrosion.
The area m u st be free of dirt and d u st.
Remo v e any carbon deposits or scale u sing a w ire br u sh.
Outside Air Inlet Inlet m u st be intact. Look for obstr u ctions, cracks on the pipe, gaps in the
sealed areas or corrosion.
The area m u st be free of dirt and d u st. Clean and reinstall as req u ired.
