8. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
8.1 Maintenance general
Inspection and maintenance work is only permitted to approved personnel.
If a problem is found during maintenance and you do not have a solution, contact your supplier or
the manufacturer.
8.2 Maintenance and cleaning RB50Eᵖˡᵘˢ tube motor and accessories
Minimum maintenance
For the Ridder RB50Eᵖˡᵘˢ tube motor and accessories not much maintenance is necessary. But it
is important that the user does regular checks for a correct operation of the tube motor and its
components.
•
Do a check of the set end positions of the limit-switch system.
Did they stay correct for the driven system?
Can the tube motor turn freely? Because of folds the roller screen winds up faster!
•
Do a check of the operation of the guiding unit on the guiding profile. A dirty guiding profile can
cause irregular operation (thus uses more power).
•
Do a check for a correctly tightened head of the tube motor.
•
Do a check for a not damaged power cable of the tube motor.
8.3 Maintenance and cleaning roller-screen system
Roller-screen system
The user must also do regular checks of the roller screen. A roller screen that does not operate
correctly can cause problems with the tube motor or the tube-motor guiding. Repair it where
possible or necessary.
•
Do a check for dirt or objects that can have a bad effect during wind up.
•
Do a check for cracks, wear and damages.
•
Do a check for a correctly attached roller screen to the winding tube and structure.
•
Do a check to find if the roller screen does not wind up with too many folds.
Disconnect the power supply during work or maintenance to a
RB50Eᵖˡᵘˢ tube motor or the system!
