Changing the IP Address (LAN2 Port)
The IP address of LAN2 port is set at 192.168.0.2, and the Subnet mask is set at
255. 255.255.0 as the factory default. If you cannot use 192.168.0.2 as the IP ad-
dress of this equipment, use LAN1 port to change the IP address of LAN2 port.
Preparation
Login as a member of the Administrators group when administrating the
equipment with Windows 2000/XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows
NT4.0.
When you can use 192.168.0.2 as the IP address of this equipment, please skip
this procedure.
When you use an optional Wireless LAN, a Wireless LAN setting is necessary
according to the procedures below.

When setting of the procedures is necessary:
• The Subnet in use is other than 192.168.0.xxx.
• When the Subnet is 192.168.0.xxx, but 192.168.0.2 is already in use, and the
address cannot be used for this equipment.
• When the Subnet is 192.168.0.xxx, but the IP address is given dynamically
by the DHCP server.
• When an optional Wireless LAN is used for this equipment.

Connect the equipment and the network by the supplied network interface
cable. You can use 10BASE-T or category5 100BASE-TX network cable instead
of the supplied network cable.

In the following cases, connect this equipment and the computer directly by
a cross network cable available on the market, and follow the procedures of
Step
C
and after, when;
• The Subnet used is 192.168.10.xxx, and 192.168.10.1 cannot be set because
it is already used;
• There is an environment only for the wireless LAN available, and not for
the wired LAN;
• All the port for the network devices such as HUB are occupied; and
• The segment of this equipment and the computer to set this equipment are
different.

In case you cannot change the IP address even if you follow the procedures
in this manual, please contact your service representative.
The flow of events described below shows the way to setup the equipment from
the LAN2 port by accessing from the computer on the network. The computer
must have web browsers confirmed on p.29 “System Requirements for the RC
Gate Monitor”.
