InfoPrint commands process options from left to right. If you enter the same
option more than once, InfoPrint uses the last occurrence of the flag to
determine the value to use. For example, if you specify this command:
tiff2afp -Cconfig.file -r240 -r300 myfile.tif
the tiff2afp command transforms the file using 300-pel resolution. InfoPrint
ignores the resolution value specified in the configuration file
config.file
and
the first -r240 flag and value.

Table 22 on page 165.

Transform environment variables that you set with the
export
command, if you
enter the transform command directly. InfoPrint ignores these environment
variables if you invoke the transform command indirectly by submitting a job
to print.
4. Transform environment variables in the .profile file in your home directory.
5. Transform environment variables in the /etc/environment file.
6. Default values that are built into InfoPrint. These are the same as the transform
defaults.
Customizing the img2afp transform
The img2afp transform can be used to transform color (FS45) images into
monochrome bilevel (FS10) images for printing. This transform is valuable for
transforming color images so that they print well in black-and-white. You can
customize the
img2afp transform only by specifying options on the command line.
Unlike other transforms shipped with the InfoPrint Manager, this transform is not
invoked automatically. Instead, you must specify it at the command line to
preprocess the data before printing. For specific information about the syntax and
use of this command, see
InfoPrint Manager: Reference .
While you can create an img2afp.cfg file, InfoPrint Manager supplies a series of
img2afp.cfg configuration files that are based on the printer model. For example,
the img2afp.4000–708cfg file on an InfoPrint Manager for AIX server contains these
settings:

img2afp.cfg files observe these basic rules:

1. Any item specified in a configuration file can be overridden on the command
line.
2. Configuration file syntax is attribute = value .
