Associating an input data user-exit program with an actual

You can use the input data user-exit program to monitor the contents of the data
stream coming into InfoPrint Manager from the

InfoPrint Manager

Administration Interface

. Start theInfoPrint Manager Administration Interface and

select the printer that you want to associate with an auxiliary sheet. Then, click

to open the

Associating an output data user-exit program with an actual
destination

You can use the output data user-exit program to monitor the contents of the data
stream created by InfoPrint from the

InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface

.

Start the InfoPrint Manager Administration Interface and select the printer that you
want to associate with an auxiliary sheet. Then, click

Printer

→

Properties

to open

the

Printer Properties

Using Interrupt Message Pages

Interrupt Message Pages (IMPs) provide a way for printer operators to find the
cause and location of a printing problem. IMPs are pages that are similar to the
message pages that print at the end of a print job, but IMPs are printed at the
point of an error where a possible data loss has occurred. This will allow the
operators to make sure that no data is missing, or to compensate for issues during
the post-processing phase of the print job.

IMPs are for use with PSF TCP/IP attached printers using the PSF DSS or the
Distributed Print Function (DPF). They are associated with an Actual Destination
(AD), and cannot be changed for each job. IMPs do not work with other PSF
attachment types. IMPs and finishing processes are incompatible and we do not
recommend combining these functions.
