Limitations:

The page count and octet count reported in the accounting

log for cancelled jobs is not accurate.

PSF DSS Command and Upload attachment types

The page count recorded in the accounting log for destinations using the
command or upload attachment types is the number of pages PSF
generates and sends to the printer or host system. It is not based on the
number of pages received or printed by the printer or host system.

Email DSS

The page count recorded in the accounting log for destinations using the
Email DSS reflects the number of pages generated and sent to the email
recipient by InfoPrint Manager. It is not based on the number of pages
received by the email recipient.

Generalized Fax DSS

The page count recorded in the accounting log for destinations using the
Generalized Fax DSS reflects the number of pages generated and sent to
the destination by InfoPrint Manager. It is not based on the number of
pages processed by the fax machine.

InfoPrint 2000 DSS

The page count recorded in the accounting log for destinations using the
InfoPrint 2000 DSS reflects the number of pages generated and sent to the
destination by InfoPrint Manager. It is not based on the number of pages
stacked on the printer.

Metacode DSS

The page count recorded in the accounting log for destinations using the
Metacode DSS reflects the number of pages generated and sent to the
destination by InfoPrint Manager. It is not based on the number of pages
stacked on the printer.

Working with PSF accounting, post-print accounting, and auditing
user-exit programs

The accounting, post-print accounting, and audit PSF DSS user-exit programs
record data about jobs. For each job printed, InfoPrint Manager activates the
accounting and audit user-exit programs

before

processing the print job's trailer

page. InfoPrint Manager activates the post-print accounting user-exit program

when

the job stacks. More than one InfoPrint Manager actual destination can use the
same user-exit program to write into the same log file.

What do these user-exit programs provide?

The accounting and auditing user-exit programs record statistical data on jobs
processed by InfoPrint actual destinations. Table 11 shows the most common
accounting and auditing user-exit programs, the files where they record data, and
the types of data that they record.
