Interface Specification Document

6.2.1.5 Ethernet

Select either 10 Base T (RJ45 connector) or 10 Base 2 (BNC connector) for network communica-
tion.

•

10 Base T – Use an Unshielded Twisted Pair Category 5 Cable, no more than 100 m in
length, with an RJ45 connector. When connecting the processor unit directly to a PC use a
cross over cable. Use a straight through cable when connecting to a HUB. To create a
Straight-Through or a Cross-Over Cable use drawings below:
