4.14.4 Upgrade
Procedure
New SeaBat 8101 systems can be ordered from the factory with Option 043 in-
stalled. Existing sonar processors must be returned to RESON for installation of
this upgrade.
4.15 Option 046, Analog Center Beam Output
4.15.1 Introduction
The sonar processor outputs the center beam in analog format, at the I Out, Q
Out, and Trig In/Out BNC connectors at the lower left corner of the rear panel.
Table 11, Option 046 Specifications
Connector Signal
Description
I Out
Center Beam Magnitude
0.0V to =3.0V unloaded
Output Imp. = 1000 ohm, 4700 pF
0.0V = zero signal, +3.0V = maxi-
mum signal
This is a detected signal; carrier has
been removed
Q Out
Center Beam Phase
-3.0V to +3.0V unloaded
Output Imp. = 1000 ohm, 4700 pF
Relative angular offset from center of
beam to target
Trig
Range = 0 Reference Pulse
0.0V to +3.5V
Output Imp. = 1000 Ohm, 4700 pF
67µs pulse, indicates range = 0
