7. Installation and Connection
Observe the chapter "Safety Information"!
• The room thermostat must only be installed and operated in a recessed socket (60
mm) or a suitable top-mounted socket due to its build.
• Use a suitable mains supply line (e.g. NYM-J) with a line cross-section of 1.5 mm².
• The room thermostat must be protected with a 10/16 A fuse in the on-site sub-distribution.
A residual-current circuit-breaker (FI protection switch) must be used upstream of this.
• Connection and installation are only permitted in the powered-down condition.
Turn off the power on all poles of the mains supply by removing the respective electric
circuit fuse or switching off the circuit breaker. Also switch off the respective fault-
current protective switch. Protect it from unauthorised re-activation, e.g. with a danger
sign.
• Check that the mains connection is free of current, e.g. with an appropriate tester.
• The are ventilation slots laterally (at the left and right) at the small square cover in the
middle of the covering frame. You will find a plastic tab each there. First, push one of
the two inwards carefully with a flat screwdriver to lift the cover on one side by approx.
1 - 2 mm.
Proceed accordingly on the other side. The cover can now be pulled out easily.
• Then you can take off the covering frame to the front.
• On the rear of the room thermostat, you will find 7 connection terminals where the
mains supply line, the connection cable for the temperature sensor and the consumer
can be connected.
