10. Programming the speed controller
a) Speed controller LED function
•
LED glows steadily (throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in neutral position)
Crawler mode is enabled. The brake is activated when the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter is moved to the
neutral position. This mode is optimal for crawler vehicles as it makes movement on a slope easier when switching
between forward and reverse travel.
Use the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter to switch the drive from forward travel to reverse one (and vice versa)
to ensure optimal control of the vehicle, which moves slowly across a difficult terrain.
•
LED flashes (throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in neutral position)
Normal mode is activated. In this mode, the motor brake works like that of a “normal” model vehicle (buggy, mon
-
ster truck, etc.). If you toggle the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter from forward travel to reverse one with one
sweep, the vehicle will brake and will not move backward. The vehicle will be able to move backward only if you
briefly release the throttle/brake lever or bring it into the central position.
If you bring the throttle/brake lever into the neutral position as the vehicle moves forward, the vehicle will come to
a standstill without braking.
Select this mode if you want to operate the vehicle on a plain terrain or on a flat surface; in this case, you can use
the remote control to brake specifically in front of a curve or an obstacle.
•
Forward/reverse controls
The more power the speed controller supplies to the motor, the faster the red speed controller LED flashes. At full
throttle the LED flashes very quickly.
