9. Operation
a) Removing the body
Pull out four locking clips on the top of the vehicle and carefully lift off the body.
b) Inserting batteries/rechargeable batteries into the transmitter
Open the battery compartment on the transmitter and insert new or fully charged batteries. Ensure that the batteries
are inserted with the correct polarity (observe the po and negative/- markings). Close the battery compartment
again.
Read the remote control operating instructions included with the product.
c)
Configuring the transmitter
Switch on the transmitter and set the steering and throttle trim to the central position. If the transmitter has a dual rate
feature, disable it or adjust it so that the steering angle is not limited.
Read the remote control operating instructions included with the product.
d) Inserting the drive battery
Important!
This vehicle is only suitable for use with a 6-cell NiMH drive battery (nominal voltage 7.2 V) or a 2-cell LiPo
drive battery (nominal voltage 7.4 V).
Drive batteries with more cells may cause a risk of fire due to speed controller overheating, which may
result in the vehicle drive (e.g. differential) being overloaded and eventually damaged. This will void the
warranty!
Check whether the battery has a suitable connector system for the speed controller and that the polarity is
correct (red cable = po, black cable = negative/-).
Loosen the two adhesive straps (A) on the battery holder.
Then insert the drive battery (B) into the battery holder so
that the connection cable points backwards in the direction
of the speed controller.
Pull the two adhesive straps taut so that the drive battery
sits firmly and secure them.
