4 Operation QUANTRON-A
4.1 Switching on the control unit
Requirements:

The control unit is connected properly to the mineral fertiliser spreader and
the tractor (for an example, see chapter
3.3: Connecting the control unit,
page 23 ).

A minimum voltage of 11 V is guaranteed.

CAUTION
Risk of injury due to ejected fertiliser!
In the case of a fault, the metering slider may open unexpectedly
during transportation to the spreading location. There is a risk of
slipping and personal injury due to ejected fertiliser.
 Before leaving for the place of spreading, make sure you
switch off the electronic QUANTRON-A control unit.
NOTICE
AXIS-M EMC (+W) only
The settings in the individual menus are very important for optimal
automatic mass flow control .
Make sure you observe the following menu entries in particular:

In the Fertiliser settings menu
- Spreading disc, see Page 52 .
- PTO speed, see Page 52 .

In the Machine settings menu
- AUTO/MANUAL operation, see Page 62 and chapter [5] .

The operating manual describes the functions of the QUANTRON-A control unit
from software version 3.30.00 .
