3 .2 Overview
Steering system consists of steering wheel, tilting-type steering column assembly, fully hydraulic
steering gear, steering cylinder and steering axle
3.2.1 Tilting-type steering column assembly
Easily adjust the position of steering column according to operator's needs.
3.2.2 Fully hydraulic steering gear
Based on steering wheel rotating angle, the fully hydraulic steering gear can metrically pass the
pressure oil from the flow divider valve to the steering cylinder through hydraulic rubber hose. When
the engine flames out, the oil pump does not supply oil, you can manually steer it.
This series forklift truck adopts low-input-torque fully hydraulic steering gear, to a large extent,
it reduces the input torque of power steering and bring up the end steering torque, which makes the
steering system easier, safer and stabler to operate.
3.3 Steering Cylinder
The steering cylinder is double-function run-through type. The both ends of piston rod connects
the knuckle through connecting rod, the pressure oil from fully hydraulic steering gear makes the
piston rod move right and left through steering cylinder so as to realize steering right and left.
Steering cylinder structure see (Fig. 3-1 ).
3 .4 inspection after reinstallation of steering system
A .. Rotate the steering wheel right and left, and rotate to the end in order to check whether the force to
right and to left is even, and the steering is stable or not.
B .. Check whether the hydraulic pipelines is in order, and the right and left steering is contrarily
installed or not.
C .. Jack up the rear wheels and slowly rotate the steering wheel right and left for couple of times, so as
to remove the air from hydraulic pipelines and oil cylinders.
3.5 Steering Axle
Steering axle is box cross-sectional welding structure (Fig. 3-2), and is connected with truck
frame by central hinged shaft through bearing seat. Hence the truck wheels can swing up and down
according to the road height.
