II. Transmission System
System transmission route
engine ----+torque converter(clutch) ----,..fluid(mechanical) -----+- transmission -----+ speed
reducer-----+ differential----+ semi-axle -----+-wheel system parts
Referring to diffe rent forklift models you purchase, models of the parts that form the
transmission system are also different. Please pay attention to this point when you are doing
maintenance.
In transmission system, transmission and fluid torque converter (clutch) matter a lot in the
process of engine output power and torque are passed over driving wheel. Please get familiar with
its function and working theory for correct repair and maintenance.
2.1 Clutch
2.1.2 Structure & Maintenance ( Fig. 2-1 )
The clutch mainly consists of pressure plate, friction plate, clutch casing and release bearing. The
pressure plate is fixed on the fl
yw
heel of engine by bolts. Step on the clutch pedal and operate the
release yoke to separate the friction plate and fl
yw
heel.
The interval between the top of clutch diaphragm and end face of release bearing is 2-3.Smm in the
condition of clutch joint. Because of frequent speed up and steering, the friction plate wears quickly.
Please often check this interval.
2.1.3 Changing friction plate assembly
A, Step on clutch pedal to throw out the friction plate.
B, rotate the sliding screw on top of transmission counterclockwise to retract the driving shaft
into transmission box.
