Change Unit
User can change the display and datalog unit from parts
per million (ppm) to milli-gram per cubic meter (mg/m
3
).
1.
“Change Unit?” is the ninth sub-menu item in the
Monitor Setup sub-menu.
2.
Press the
[Y/+]
key, the display should show the current
unit “Display Unit = ppm?” or “Display Unit = mg?”
3.
Press
[Y/+]
key to accept the currently displayed unit.
Press
[N/-]
key to toggle to the other unit. Press
[MODE]
key to exit this sub-menu.
4.
If there is any change to the existing selection, press
[Y/+]
to confirm the new selection or press
[N/-]
or
[MODE]
to discard the changes and move to the next
sub-menu.
Caution:
1.
The correction factor in the gas library is calculated
based on “ppm” unit. If “mg” unit is selected, the
built-in correction factor library is not valid.
2.
No automatic conversion between “ppm” and
“mg
/
m
3
” reading is performed by the monitor.
3.
When the unit name is changed from “ppm” to
“mg”, the unit must be recalibrated with the span
gas concentration entered in mg/m
3
. The converse
rule applies when the unit is changed from “mg” to
“ppm”.
