To discharge water from the OS Hose Reel:
1.
Select Water Source, i.e. Tank or Inlet Suction (refer to section 13.3.1 Page 61).
2.
Start the pump set as per instructions in section 13.2.6 (Page 59).
3.
Release the Branch from the PAC bracket on the rear of the appliance.
4.
Release the reel drum brake by turning the lever counter-clockwise. If the lever cannot
turn enough to release the brake, lift the lever and rotate it backwards and then release
it and turn it forwards again to release the brake further. Refer to Figure 76 and Figure
77.
5.
Pull the hose to unwind it to the desired length.
6.
Apply the hose reel brake to prevent the reel from unwinding with water pulsing.
7.
Open the OS Reel Control Valve at the delivery manifold and adjust the Branch to
control the spray pattern.
8.
When the operation is complete, close the OS Reel Control Valve at the delivery
manifold.
9.
Operate the Branch to release the water pressure from the hose.
10.
Release the hose reel drum brake and start to rewind the deployed hose ensuring the
hose is rewound evenly across the drum surface.
11.
Place the Branch back into the PAC bracket on the rear of the appliance.
12.
Apply the hose reel drum brake.
13.
Shut down the pump set. (refer to section 13.2.7 Page 59).
To discharge water from the NS Hose Reel:
1.
Select Water Source, i.e. Tank or Inlet Suction (refer to section 13.3.1 Page 61).
2.
Start the pump set as per instructions in section 13.2.6 (Page 59).
3.
Release the Branch from the PAC bracket on the rear of the appliance.
4.
Swap the CAFS 12mm Straight Bore Nozzle to the 25mm Storz fitted nozzle on the
Slide and Tilt Shelf in the OSM Locker.
5.
Release the hose reel brake by turning the lever counter-clockwise. The hose reel
brake lever is spring-loaded holding it down against a ratchet mechanism. If the brake
lever impacts the hose reel and the brake has not released, lift the brake lever upwards
and rotate it back to the starting position. Release the brake lever to allow it to re-
engage the ratchet, then turn the brake lever again. Repeat until the hose reel brake
has released. Refer to Figure 76 and Figure 77.
6.
Pull the hose to unwind it to the desired length.
7.
Apply the hose reel brake to prevent the reel from unwinding with water pulsing.
8.
Open the NS Reel Control Valve in the deck platform area beside the hose reel and
adjust the Branch to control the spray pattern.
9.
When the operation is complete, close the NS Reel Control Valve at the deck platform
beside the hose reel.
10.
Operate the Branch to release the water pressure from the hose.
11.
Release the hose reel drum brake and start to rewind the deployed hose ensuring the
hose is rewound evenly across the drum surface.
12.
Place the Branch back into the PAC bracket on the rear of the appliance.
13.
Apply the hose reel drum brake.
14.
Shut down the pump set. (refer to section 13.2.7 Page 59).
