17 APPENDIX C – PLUMBING MAINTENANCE
17.1 Primer Wye Strainer
The electric primer has a Wye Strainer fitted in the water supply line to prevent debris entering the
primer. Access to the Wye Strainer is from the near side Platform Deck. This filter should be
checked and cleaned regularly.

17.2 Foam Induction Pick Up Point – Wye Strainer
The Foam Intake has a Wye Strainer to prevent debris from entering the plumbing system. This
Wye Strainer should be checked and cleaned regularly.
