6.2 Installing the Expansion Pod Mounting Hardware

Attach the bottom hinge mount to the LRM using one alignment pin and three
flat-head screws.

Install a plastic shim on the four hinge pins. See

Figure 6-7

. Note that:

Use three 3/8 x 1/2 socket-head screws and three 3/8-inch flat washers

•

Install the screws from the inside of the XLS. That is, insert them into
the XLS frame, then into the pem nuts on the brace.
