The NEC Express5800/120Rh-2 features up to two 64-bit
Intel
®
Xeon™ Processors 3.60Hz/3.40GHz/3.20GHz with a
800MHz system bus and 1MB 2nd cache (2MB on the 3.60GHz
model).
The latest 2U rack model offers up to 16GB DDR2-400
SDRAM memory with ECC and Chipkill™.
The NEC Express5800/120Rh-2 supports Ultra 320 SCSI
hard disks, with a large-scale capacity of up to 1.8TB (300GB
x 6). To prevent loss of important data and to deliver higher
system availability in the event of a disk failure, on-board
RAID 0, 1 and RAID 1 spanning are enabled as standard.
RAID 5 is enabled using an optional disk array controller.
With six PCI-X expansion slots (64bit/100MHz PCI-X x3 and
64bit/66MHz PCI-X x3), the 120Rh-2 supports a wide variety
of option boards to further customize the slot mix and to meet
particular needs. By replacing the standard riser card
(64bit/100MHz PCI-X x3) with an optional riser card*, one of
the following slot options becomes available:
- 64bit/133MHz PCI-X x3
- 64bit/133MHz PCI-X x1 and PCI EXPRESS™ (x4) x2
- 64bit/33MHz PCI (5V) x3.
* Three different optional riser cards are available for 120Rh-2.
To ensure continuous system operation, optionally hot-swap
redundant power supply and fans are supported.
The 120Rh-2 is designed to support Microsoft
®
Windows
Server™ 2003 x64 Edition, which allows both 32-bit and 64-
bit applications on the same system and enables faster data
processing and greater memory access.
To enhance system reliability and availability, the 120Rh-2
comes standard with a Remote Management Controller,
which enables server management and monitoring from a
remote console.
NEC ESMPRO, bundled for easy system management,
monitors and controls system operation from a remote
console, and assists the system administrator in
troubleshooting a system.
For simple system installation, NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is
attached as an installation support tool.
