EDDYSENSOR Operating Manual
Example:
WICU line with encoder
First, set up the filters for the testing speed of e.g. 80 m/min.
Using the recommended calculations:-
For the high pass filter
80/4 = 20
From the table or the graph for the high pass filter using an encircling coil,
the setting of the switches HPH/HPL is 17 (HPH=1, HPL=7).
For the low pass filter
80 x 2 = 160
From the table or the graph for the low pass filter using an encircling coil,
the setting of the switches LPH/LPL is 12 (LPH=1, LPL=2).
Turn the filter switches to the correct settings using a screwdriver.

In this example the undelayed signal is used to activate a warning device
and the delayed signal goes to a paint marker (10 m distance) which colour
marks the ends of the copper tubes for subsequent cutting. These pieces
are then cut out by a flying saw (at a distance of 22.5 m).

Using the recommended calculations:-
For the high pass filter
80/4 = 20
From the table or the graph for the high pass filter using an encircling coil,
the setting of the HP is 12.
For the low pass filter
80 x 2 = 160
From the table or the graph for the low pass filter using an encircling coil,
the setting of the switches LP is 11.
