5.9 HART Packet Capture

The PLX51-HART-4x module provides the capability to capture the HART traffic for

analysis. This will assist you and the support team to diagnose any possible issues.

To invoke the capture of the module, right-click on the module (when online in

PLX50CU) and select the HART Packet Capture item.

Figure 5.30 - Selecting HART Packet Capture

The HART Packet Capture window will open and automatically start capturing all

HART packets.

To display the captured HART packets, the capture process must first be stopped, by

pressing the

Stop

button.
