What's New
The TRM700-16 was first introduced in 2016 based on the TRM800 model. The purpose
was to produce a less expensive commercial grade treadmill. In general, the TRM700
series share the same base (or lower) mechanical and electrical system components. The
upper targa, arms, console dash, and covers are different. The TRM700-18 (introduced in
2018) incorporated the new common frame that is shared between the TRM800, TRM700,
and TRM600 models, see
"TRM600/700/800 Common Frame Overview" on page 286
.
TRM700-18 common frame features and differences from the TRM700-16 legacy frame:
l
Changed to using the Ammeraal Beltech self-lubricating running belt with no wax
deck.
l
New common frame take-up roller running belt adjustment mechanism.
l
New common frame drive roller.
l
New common frame drive motor and drive belt adjustment mechanism.
l
No Dynamic Brake Resister (
DBR

). The

and drive motor control excess current
overloading.
l
Redesigned TRM700 dash and arms.
l
Service/maintenance Active Status Light (

).
l
Supports the LEDP30, P30i and P31 and touchscreen P62 and P82 consoles
l
Ground Effects Impact Control System (

l
Integrated Footplant Technology (

l
Implemented a new common frame (used on the TRM600/700/800 models) begin-
ning 05/14/2019. There are now two base frame configurations, the TRM700-16
Legacy and the TRM700-18 Common Frame configurations, see
Common Frame Overview" on page 286

treadmill dynamic break resistor.
2
Motor controller, motor controller unit, or motor controller module: used on treadmills, con-
tains the LPCA and motor controller functionality.
3
Active Status Light: Service and maintenance status light.
4
Ground Effects Impact Control System: Patented treadmill design that out performs a nat-
ural running surface, absorbs high-impact movement, reduces joint stress and minimizes
fatigue and supports a solid and controlled push off.
5
Integrated Footplant Technology: IFT recognize this change in speed when your foot
strikes the belt and adjust to match every stride, resulting in a smooth, fluid feel that
enhances the workout experience.
