the PEEBD shall be inspected by an OEM
Approved Service Center every 12 months to
ensure correct operation and it is Ready For
Issue (RFI)
Operability Pre-Cautions:
Ensuring the cylinder maintains its full
capacity is essential.
To avoid accidental “Purging” of air while the
PEEBD is not in use (between missions or in
duty storage) the Control Knob should be
turned to the “Closed” position – in the
Closed /Off position a RED OFF band is
visible at the base of the Control Knob.
During a Prior to Use Inspection, the Control
Knob should be turned to the “Open” position
showing the Green ON band visible at the
base of the Control Knob.
Post-FlightInspection
After use of the PEEBD, turn the Control Knob off (clockwise), so that red indicator
ring is visible at the base ofthe Control Knob
Check the PEEBD for signs of damage and contamination. If there are any signs of
damage, report any discrepancies to maintenance personnel, remove the item from
service, and clearly tag the item with a NON-RFI tag.
