Preparationand Setup
Thepurposeofthismanualistofamiliarizeyouwiththecorrectsetup, filling, Inspection and
Maintenance of the PEEBD.
ThePEEBDispackagedfullyassembledandready touse afterithasbeen filledwithair by the
purchaser at an OEM Approved
facility .Beforeusingithowever,itisveryimportanttocarefullyread and understand the procedures
outlined in this manual for filling the PEEBD and performing a User Inspection.
Only personnel trained in the use of SCUBA diving apparatus should use the PEEBD – DO NOT
attempt to use the PEEBD without formal approved current certified SCUBA training
General Filling procedures
NOTE : To estimate theaveragedurationofairsupply it is recommended the User undertake a
Pool Training session with acompletelyfullPEEBDcylinder, to determine duration with that
User (note – it is recommended the Pool Training session be undertaken in pool
temperature no greater than 16 degrees Celsius where the User will consume a greater
quantity of air with each breath)
ThePEEBD1206shall befilled to3,000PSI/207BAR(coldfill),toprovidemaximum breathvolume.
The PEEBD9393 shall be filled to 4,500psi / 310 Bar(coldfill),inordertoprovidemaximum
breathvolume.
