Prior to IssueInspection
Before each use, the unit must be given a thorough visual inspection and functional test
by a qualified User.
1. V i s u a l l y I n s p e c t the low-pressure hose to ensure it is securely
connected to its respective port on the 1
st
Stage and 2
nd
Stage Regulator. Inspect the
length of the hose to ensure that it is not blistered, cut, or shows any otherdamage.

damage. Inspect the hose fittings for any signs of corrosion or cracking.

Visually inspect the 2

Stage Regulator for any signs of damage, such as
cracks, gouges, or severe external corrosion of the low-pressure hose connection

Visually inspect the Cylinder and 1

Stage Regulator for any signs of corrosion,
gouges, heavy scratches, or corrosion around the low-pressure hose connection to the 1
st
Stage Regulator
4.
While the PEEBDvalve Control Knob is turned completely off and the 2
nd
Stage Regulator has been purged to ensure it and the hose are empty of air, inspect the
pressure indicator assembly to ensure that it is securely fastened to the 1st Stage
Regulator. Closely examine the pressure indicator to ensure that it reads zero.
5. Slowly open the Control Knob valve until the green indicator is visible at the
base of the Control Knob and closely examine the pressure indicator dial to determine
its needle is within the full zone, indicating the PEEBD is full.
